SAGE's Tuition Rewards Program
SAGE's Tuition Rewards program is a college savings and investment plan like no other. Families can earn Tuition Rewards on 529s, CDs, mutual funds, 401(k)s, IRAs, annuities, insurance products, brokerage accounts and even home equity lines of credit.
Your participation in the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards Program allows your account holders and clients to receive a 5% annual Tuition Rewards Bonus. The Tuition Rewards Bonus, while not "hard dollars", provides a guaranteed discount off tuition at SAGE member private colleges and universities across the United States. Each student can use Tuition Rewards to cover the cost of up to one full years' tuition.
"The program helps differentiate Harleysville in an industry with commoditized products, and it gives customers reason to stay with the bank."
Ron Geib, President Harleysville Savings Bank (PA) American Banker, July 19th 2006
The SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards Program will help you attract new clients while retaining existing clients. By being part of SAGE you'll be able to offer clients 500 Tuition Rewards Points as a bonus when they open their accounts; plus, you are able to give your client the equivalent of 5% in Tuition Rewards on their qualified assets. These guaranteed scholarships will differentiate you from your competition and leverage your products and services.
Tuition Rewards accrue like frequent flyer miles and are based on eligible assets. Each Tuition Rewards point is equal to $1 in scholarships at a SAGE member school and represents the minimum scholarship that a sponsored student will receive if he or she attends a participating college. For example, if a client invests $20,000 (no minimum required) with you, he or she will receive 1,000 Tuition Rewards Points ($10,000 x 5% = 500); if $50,000 is invested, that will generate 2,500 Tuition Rewards Points. These Points accrue annually, the sooner clients enroll through you, the more Tuition Rewards they can earn.
"... we saw a natural tie-in with hometown community banking and the local colleges."
Ms. Christyn Divine Senior VP / Dir. of Marketing FNB Corporation (Hermitage, PA) American Banker, July 19th 2006
